In the first quarter of FY23, TCS plans to hire 40,000 individuals from the campus. With a total global workforce of 6,06,331 employees as of the April to June quarter, the company added 14,136 new TCS Employees.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the largest IT services provider in India, has stated that the IT business granted wage increases of 6–8% in FY22 and will be considering similar increments with an upward slant in FY23.

Rajesh Gopinathan, the CEO of TCS, was paid a total of Rs. 25.76 crore in FY22. From his prior salary of Rs 20.36 crore in FY21, this represents an almost 27 percent increase. Gopinathan received a salary of Rs. 1.51 crore, Rs. 2.25 crore in benefits, perquisites, and allowances, and Rs. 22 crore in commission, according to the company’s annual report.

The entire rise over the course of the year, after accounting for promotions and other event-based compensation changes, is close to 10.5 percent, according to TCS.

N Ganapathy Subramaniam, the chief operational officer and executive director of TCS, received a salary of Rs. 1.44 crore, as well as Rs. 2.24 crore in benefits, perquisites, and allowances, as well as Rs. 17 crore in commission.

His overall pay during the most recent fiscal year was Rs 20.7 crore, an increase of 29% from his prior pay of Rs 16 crore. Gopinathan was first appointed in 2017 for a term of five years, and on February 20, 2027, he was again appointed for a term of five years.

In FY23, TCS plans to hire 40,000 individuals from the campus. In the April to June quarter, the business hired 14,136 more workers, bringing its total global employment to 6,06,331 people. According to a statement from TCS, women make up 35.5% of the company’s workforce.

Beginning the corporate earnings season, software major stated its attrition rate increased further to 19.7% in the April to June quarter of the financial year 2022–2023.
