TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan resigned on March 16 after a 22-year tenure with Tata Consultancy Services, the country’s largest software exporter. K Krithivasan, a corporate veteran, will take the position of CEO in the current financial year.
The country’s largest software exporter said that Krithivasan has been appointed CEO designate with immediate effect, while Gopinathan, who has been CEO for six years, would stay on until September 15 to offer transition and support to his successor.
Krithivasan has been appointed President and Global Head of TCS’ Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance Business Group.

Krithivasan has 34 years of expertise in the technology industry and has held different leadership roles in delivery, customer relationship management, big program management, and sales. He was the Industry Solutions Unit Head for Banking and Financial Services before becoming the Global Leader of BFSI Business Group.
