Salaar Part 2 Prabhas To Start Shoot In August, Set Constructed At Ramoji Film City Hyderabad

After the massive success of Prabhas’ Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, all eyes have been on the sequel. He is now all set to start shooting for Kalki 2898 AD, and once done with this film, the actor will begin shooting for the untitled directorial venture of Prashanth Neel in August this year.

If a report by Pinkvilla is to be believed, Prabhas will kickstart the Salaar 2 shoot on August 10 this year at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. “Through the making of Salaar, Prashanth Neel has already shot for 20 percent of the sequel with Prabhas and Prithviraj. A source told the entertainment portal, “There is a standing set in Ramoji Film City, and the journey on Salaar 2 begins with a schedule on this set”.

The film is said to be shot over 8 months and will hit theatres in 2025. “Prashanth Neel is committed to shooting for two feature films – Salaar 2 and Dragon with NTR Jr – in 2024 and 2025. He has met both the producers and promised to shoot for the two feature films in the pre-decided timelines. He has chalked out a schedule for both the films, and he is confident to have a smooth journey with two top stars,” the insider added. Talking about the script, the sequel to Salaar will throw some light on the insider shared: “The real drama and politics of the film unfold in the sequel.

What one does get to see is a different and fresh dynamic for both Prabhas and Prithviraj in the film, which brings the intensity to the storytelling. “The entire plot of the sequel was written way back in the pandemic, and it’s now time to execute all the drama to the spectacle with scale and heroism.” Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire hit theatres in December 2023 and impressed everyone. Besides Prabhas, it also starred Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu in crucial roles.

The film earned over Rs 500 crore at the global box office. Later, the makers confirmed that there is a sequel to the movie with the story about the impact of the political scenario in Khansaar, involving two best friends—Prabhas and Prithviraj—now turning into the biggest enemies.
