Sakshi Mandwal Early life and education:
Sakshi Mandwal was a curious, disciplined child who strove for excellence. Her desire to excel was never driven by competition but by personal satisfaction and growth. She enjoyed interacting with people and could quickly strike up conversations, which helped her realize the value of humility early in life. This desire to connect with people and share their stories inspired her to pursue journalism, aiming to bring the achievements of others to the masses.
Sakshi was born and raised in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Her father, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mandwal, holds a PhD in chemistry and retired as a scientist from the Central Drug Research Institute of India. Her mother, Sumita Mandwal, has been a teacher throughout her career.
Sakshi completed her schooling at Loreto Convent, Lucknow, one of the oldest and most reputed schools in the country, and attended City Montessori School, Lucknow for her intermediate studies. She then graduated from Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow, with a specialization in English Literature and Psychology. Sakshi holds a PG Diploma in English Journalism from the Sri Aurobindo Center for Arts and Communication, New Delhi.

Sakshi’s initial goal was to establish herself in a job profile and eventually build her personal brand. However, her career took an exciting turn when she got her first major breakthrough in 2010 by hosting the Commonwealth Games for Doordarshan. This opportunity quickly elevated her career trajectory. Shortly thereafter, The Times of India reached out her to host a series of events, and IGNOU invited her to host documentaries. By then, she realized that her diverse skill set could be used to build her brand and expand her professional horizons.
Her goal was simple: “Use your skills as an asset and never restrict your growth by sticking to one job profile.” Initially, this was challenging, but with self-belief and the art of effective communication, she was able to build a strong and diverse network across media, including print, television, digital, and radio. The rest, as they say, is history.
Sakshi Mandwal Relationships and Family:
Sakshi comes from Lucknow, the “City of Nawabs,” and the capital of Uttar Pradesh. She was raised in a humble, disciplined household. Her father, a retired scientist with a PhD in chemistry, worked at one of India’s top research institutes, the Central Drug Research Institute. Her mother dedicated her life to teaching. Sakshi enjoyed a loving childhood filled with the presence of family elders. She was particularly close to her grandparents and cherished the time spent with them. Family remains her top priority.
hobbies and interests:
With an erratic work schedule, travel, and irregular sleep cycles, Sakshi considers getting a good night’s sleep a luxury. She begins her day with meditative chants, which help her stay focused and centred. She never misses her daily jog, which has become more of a habit than a hobby. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, gardening, cooking for loved ones, and traveling to explore new places. She also loves adrenaline-pumping activities like adventure sports.
