Early life and education:

Sakshi Mandwal was a very curious kid, disciplined, and had the drive to excel in everything She was given. Thirst for excellence even as a kid never came by the competition I was surrounded by, but rather the need to excel for her satisfaction and growth. She loved interacting with people, was able to strike up conversations break the ice, and build a conversation very quickly with people. Hearing their life stories inspired her and helped them understand the value of humility very early on in life. It was these things that made her want to choose journalism as a career solely because she wanted to be the medium to bring the stories of achievers to the masses. These were the early building blocks that shaped her into who Sakshi Mandwal is today.

Mother’s name: Sumita Mandwal. -Schooling: Loreto Convent, Lucknow (one of the oldest and reputed schools of the country); Intermediate: City Montessori School, Lucknow. -Graduation: Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow; with a specialization in English literature and psychology. -Post Graduation: PG Diploma in English journalism for Sri. Aurobindo Center for Arts and Communication, New Delhi. 

Career highlights:

While the initial goal in her life was to get into a job profile and then go on to make a brand of her name, after having developed a network; maybe God had better plans in store for Sakshi Mandwal. Her first early breakthrough came in 2010 when she hosted the Commonwealth Games for the National broadcaster Doordarshan. That opportunity changed the graphics of her career pretty soon. She had already started networking and building her network and before She knew the Times of India group reached out to Sakshi Mandwal to host a series of events for them. Around the same time, IGNOU reached out to Sakshi Mandwal to host a series of documentaries they were making. By this time She had realized that she had a bunch of skills that she could use to build her own brand and grow in life. The goal was very simple in her head Sakshi Mandwal: ‘Use your skills as an asset and do not restrict your growth by sticking to one job profile.’ Initially, it was hard. But, gradually with self-belief in her skills and knowing the art and importance of good communication, She was able to build a very diverse and strong network in the line of media, which ranged from print to television to digital and radio. The rest as they are history.

Sakshi Mandwal Relationships and family:

She comes from the Nawabo ka shehar, Lucknow, which also happens to be the capital city of the state of Uttar Pradesh. She was raised in a very humble, disciplined, and regular household. Her father who has a PhD in chemistry, retired as a scientist from the Central Drug Research Institute of India (one of the top six research institutes in the country). While Sakshi Mandwal mother has been a teacher all her life. She had a beautiful childhood filled with love and the presence of elders in the family. As a kid, she was very close to her grandparents and spent a lot of quality time with them. Family for Sakshi Mandwal is everything and nothing will ever come before that. 

hobbies and interests:

Over the years with Sakshi Mandwal erratic work schedule, timings, and travel, her sleep cycle keeps getting affected a lot. So when she get some time out for herself, the one thing I love doing the most is catching up on some good sleep cos that for Sakshi Mandwal is a luxury. She normally starts her day by listening to meditative chants which helps her stay focused and centered. Going for her jogs every day is not just a hobby anymore but a habit she absolutely loves and never misses out on. Other things that she likes doing in her free time are spending quality time with my family, reading, gardening, cooking for my friends and family, and traveling and exploring new places. She also loves doing activities that give her an adrenaline rush like adventure sports.
