Pooja Hegde Actress

Pooja Hegde (born October 13, 1990) is an Indian actress and model who is most known for her work in Telugu and Hindi films. At the Miss Universe India 2010 competition, she placed second runner-up. Mugamoodi, a Tamil film directed by Mysskin, was her first film (2012). In Oka Laila Kosam, Pooja Hegde Actress made her Telugu film debut alongside Naga Chaitanya. In 2016, she made her Hindi cinema debut in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro, alongside Hrithik Roshan.

Mukunda (2014), Duvvada Jagannadham (2017), Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018), Maharishi (2019), Gaddalakonda Ganesh (2019), Housefull 4 (2019), and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo were among her successful flicks (2020).

Early life

Pooja Hegde was born and raised in a Tulu-speaking Bunt family in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Manjunath and Latha Hegde are her parents. They are from the city of Udupi in the state of Karnataka. Rishabh Hegde, her older brother, works as an orthopedic surgeon. She speaks Kannada, English, Hindi, Tulu, and Tamil fluently. She attended M. M. K. College, where she took part in dance and fashion exhibitions on a regular basis.

Career

2009–2013 : Career beginnings

Despite winning Miss India Talented 2009, Hegde competed in Miss India 2009 competition and was eliminated in the first round. The following year, she reapplied and finished second runner-up in the Miss Universe India 2010 competition, as well as Miss India South Glamorous Hair 2010 in a subsidiary category.

2014–2019: Debut in Telugu and Hindi cinema

Hegde’s second film, Oka Laila Kosam (2014), starred Naga Chaitanya and was released in Telugu. Her acting in the film received a lot of appreciation. She was nominated for Best Actress at the 62nd Filmfare Awards around the same period (South). Following in the footsteps of a production house and the success of director Vijay Konda’s last effort, she agreed to collaborate on the project. She attended Telugu courses in order to better depict the leading lady in the film. Hegde wowed audiences in her second Telugu film with her remarkable performance in Mukunda’s Gopikamma song (2014). It was a romantic-action film set in a town that came out in late 2014.
