Mantralayam Temple Epic Story, one of Hinduism’s most revered and powerful saints, dedicated his life to his followers and committed suicide by burying himself alive (Jeeva Samadhi). According to 16th century records, he was in office from 1601 to 1671. He was a devoted follower of Madhavism (Worshiper of Lord Vishnu as supreme). In the Andhra Pradesh state town of Mantralayam, the saint attained Brindavanam. Concerning Mantralaya Temple
Birth
Originally known as Sri Venkatanatha, Sri Raghavendra Swamy was born in Tamil Nadu’s Bhuvanagiri, which is now Chidambaram. Sri Venkatanatha was given this name thanks to the parents’ remarkable dedication and devotion to Tirupathi Sri Venkateshwara Swamy.
Early Life
In addition to being a gifted student since childhood, Sri Venkathanatha also mastered the Veena. After his father passed away, Venkatanatha was raised by Sri Gururaja Bhatta, his father’s brother. He finished his primary education at this uncle’s house in Madhurai.
Marriage Life
Venkatanatha married Smt. Saraswathi Bai after his return from the Mutt in 1614, and the couple welcomed a son that same year. Under the tutelage of his mentor Sri Sudheera Theertha, Sri Venkatanatha has studied and worshipped Dwaita Vendantha, literature, and grammar from the beginning.
Epic Story Of Mantralayam Temple was a devout follower of Sri Panchamukha Mukhya Prana Devaru and Sri Moola Rama. He almost wasted his time imparting knowledge to the younger generation and ended up in debt. But he submitted himself to the amity in a totally, or whole and only, manner.
Life turn – into Sanyasa as Guru Raghavendra
Mantralayam Temple’s Epic Story As Venkatanath continued to devote his life to worshipping the Lord and teaching the younger generation, his mentor Sri Sudheendra Theertharu, who had taught him spiritual virtues, was now looking for a successor to run his mutt.
When Venkatanatha visited his guru once to inquire about the whereabouts of himself and his family, the guru realised Venkatanatha was the ideal candidate to be his descendant. Venkatanatha originally declined since he was constrained by family obligations, but he allowed himself the opportunity to talk with his wife about it. Poojas and Service at the Mantralayam Temple
While returning home, he encountered Goddess Sawraswath (Goddess of Learning), who described his birth as Raghavendra in the Kaliyuga and Prhaladha in a prior birth. After having a change of heart, Venkathanatha decides to seek salvation as a “Sanyasi” (an avatar who commits to committing themselves entirely to the Almighty and renunciating family ties/surrendering themselves to the Lord whole and single). On Phalguni Sukla Dwitiya at Tanjore, in 1621, he then assumed control of the mutt.
Smt. Saraswathi’s Moksha
When she learned that Venkatanatha was taking on the persona of Raghavendra Guru, Smt. Saraswathi, Venkatnatha’s wife, broke down and committed suicide by plunging herself into a deep well. But because of her untimely death, she was stranded in the middle of Heaven and Earth. She had wished to see her husband for the last time, but her wish was not granted. She went to the mutt to visit him, but due to the premature sacrifice, she was not permitted inside. She was felt by Swamy Raghavendra, who then showered her with holy water to grant her liberation (releasing her sole into heaven).
South India Tour spreading Dvaita Philosophy
After assuming the persona of Sanyasi, Raghavendra embarked on a journey of southern India to spread the “Davaita Philosophy” and visit devotees in Rameshwaram and Srirangam. He also visited Thiruvanathapuram, Madhurai, and Kanyakumari. Vishnu Mangala, Kukke Subramanya, and Udupi were attended by more people.
Many miracles occurred during his travels across the nation to promote his Davaita ideology. Miracle-like occurrences have always occurred under Swamyji’s control. His spiritual teachings and blessings were intended to act as a protective or helpful hand, or a “Abhaya Hand,” for all the followers who came to him for assistance.
Nawaab of Adoni & Mantralayam
Swamiji requested a favour from Nawaab of Adoni. He asked him for the “Manchela Village Land.” Prior to that, the Nawaab of Adoni dishonoured him by presenting him with a tray of non-vegetarian treats that was covered in fabric in order to test Swamyji’s spiritual abilities. Then, as it was maintained close to him, it was offered to Swamy. When the cloth was removed from the plate, the plate of non-vegetarian goodies transformed into lovely flowers thanks to Swamyji’s meditation and purity of mind and soul.
Nawaab was in awe of Swamiji’s miracle and speechless. He continued by saying that because the Manchela Village was located in an arid and desolate area, he would provide Swamiji with better land. However, this area of land was near Mantralayam and along the Tungabhara River. He added that this region was thought to be holy since it was where King Prahalada offered Lord Rama Yagam during the “Dwapara Yuga.” The mutt was then relocated to Mantralayam, where Annadanam (Food Donation to All Devotees) is being practised at the mutt today.
Panchamukhi
Near Manatralayam, at the Panchamukhi (Temple of Five Faced Hanuman Form of Panchamukha Mukhya Prana) location, penance was carried out. Prahalada, a devotee who was rescued by Vishnu in the form of Narasimha, was reincarnated as Raghavendra. The Dwapara Yugam character Shankukarna’s rebirth is Prahaladha. As a result, Raghavendra decided to locate Brindavanam at Mantralayam.
Jeeva Samadhi
Mantralayam Temple’s Epic Story Many devotees who came up to see the event were spoken to in a soul-stirring manner on the Diwitiya Day of Sravana Krishna Paksha 1671. He said that:
He would always be there for followers who needed his assistance. He would be a kalpavriksha (tree that grants wishes and bestows blessings), a physician who could address all medical requirements. In the end, he promised to support his followers through all of life’s challenges and be by their sides at all times.
Mantralayam Temple’s Epic Story Swamy joined Brindavanam, which was created especially for him. Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana visited Teertha yatra, and as per his request, their steps sanctified these stones. Once the japamala stopped rolling in this hand, slabs were placed until his head was covered, as ordered by Swamy. 1200 Lakshmai Narayan Srligramas were transported from the Nepal Gandaki River to Brindavanam in order to purify the building.
This date of Samadhi was celebrated every year at Dwitiya Day of Sravana Krishna Paksha.
