Allu Arjun and YSRCP MLA Silpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy have been accused of permitting a sizable public gathering at the MLA’s residence.
Following Allu Arjun’s visit to Nandyala in Andhra Pradesh to extend support to MLA Shilpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy, a case was filed against him for purportedly breaching the Model Code of Conduct. According to India Today, Reddy, a member of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), also faced charges in the case.
According to the report, allegations were made against Allu Arjun and Reddy for permitting a substantial public gathering at Reddy’s residence on Saturday. This action resulted in a breach of the code of conduct just before the Andhra Pradesh elections. The state is scheduled to vote on May 13.
Allegedly, the MLA extended an invitation to the actor without obtaining prior permission for his attendance at the gathering. An FIR was lodged for contravening Section 144, which is currently in effect in Andhra Pradesh. The case was registered by Deputy Tehsildar P Ramachandra Rao from Nandyala Rural.
Following his visit to Reddy’s residence on Saturday, Allu Arjun explained the purpose of his trip to Nandyala. According to the report, he stated, “I came here voluntarily. I extend my support to my friends in whatever endeavor they pursue. This does not imply my endorsement or allegiance to any specific political party.”
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala posted a video showing the actor being enthusiastically greeted by a large crowd of fans in Nandyala. Allu Arjun extended his greetings to the fans with folded hands, waved, and smiled at them. Sneha Reddy was also seen standing beside him. On X (formerly Twitter), the actor shared a photo with Reddy, expressing his gratitude to the people of Nandyal for their warm welcome. He thanked @SilpaRaviReddy Garu for the hospitality and wished her success in the elections and beyond, assuring her of his steadfast love and support.
Reddy had posted a clip on X and written, “A heartfelt thank you to my friend @alluarjun for traveling all the way to Nandyal to wish me the best in my election. Your unwavering support means everything to me, and I’m so grateful for our friendship! #Thaggedele.”
